COVID-19 Update: Stay safe and wear a mask.

Being There for Someone Through a Single Text

This Sunday we began our devotional on mental health. I think that it is no coincidence that on the same day a coursemate of mine was sending signals of suicide which alarmed me. However, I muted the main group therefore I was only aware about 10 minutes after he sent his text to us in the group. I took the initiative to ask my other coursemates on his well being. Thankfully that he was stable and my coursemates was with him. Although the situation had died down, I wanted to at least send a text to him to encourage him. We may not be close, but a simple act such as a text is enough to make someone feel better!
